The Better Broadband Scheme is a Government initiate to support the take-up of broadband in rural areas. The scheme aims to ensure that anybody who is currently unable to receive at least 2Mb/s can purchase an improved service at a cost to them of no more than £400 in the first 12 months. Any costs incurred beyond £400 are covered by the voucher, up to a maximum of £350.
To be eligible for a voucher, you must currently be unable to receive a download speed of at least 2Mb/s. You must also be in an area which isn’t planned to receive fibre broadband services in the next 6-12months.
